Building a Home
Plan construction stages and schedules
Use a residential starting workflow or custom stages, then track tasks and target dates as the build develops.
How to use it
- Open Building a Home for the active household and select a construction project, or create one with a name and optional description, dates and initial estimate.
- Choose Residential home for 15 adaptable stages, from consultation and site planning through handover and warranty support, or choose Custom workflow to add your own stages.
- Open Schedule to add stages and tasks. Review dates, responsibility and dependencies; an unfinished dependency can block dependent work.
- Complete each stage after its tasks, or have the owner record why the stage does not apply. Reopening a task reopens its completed stage. Update task progress and completion as work happens. Use Resources for permit or utility requirements, material orders and vendor or subcontractor records.
- Use Updates & requests for progress updates and information requests with a responsible party and due date. Keep source files in Documents and review History for recorded changes.
- Treat the initial estimate and target dates as planning records. Contractual budget approval is a separate owner decision; ResiArk does not guarantee construction timing.
Active construction collaboration requires the household’s Ark+ entitlement. Household roles and builder permissions still apply. Existing history is preserved when access changes.
