Manage an Insurance Claim
Keep damage, claim communications, repairs and settlement together.
How to use it
- Open Guided Actions and choose Manage an Insurance Claim. Name the workflow and save it.
- Document the incident: Record incident date, location, damage and affected records.
- Record policy and claim: Record carrier, policy reference, deductible, claim number, adjuster and submission date. Coverage must be verified with your insurer.
- Prepare supporting records: Record missing documentation and deadlines. Review the insurance package before downloading.
- Track repairs and communications: Record appointments, communications, repair tasks and estimates.
- Review settlement: Record approved amounts, reimbursements, out-of-pocket costs, outstanding issues and closure date.
- Link supporting existing records and add dated inspections, appointments or communications in Timeline and inspections. Save each dated record explicitly.
- Create follow-ups in the workflow to reuse assigned Maintenance and its recurrence/reminder controls.
- Owners preparing transfer or caregiver information can select linked records for a verified recipient's private copy. Review every selection; document originals use the separate curated package. Recipients accept while signed in; owners can revoke future access, but downloaded copies cannot be recalled.
- Save required outcomes before completing. Reopen with In progress when further work is needed. Workflow and journal records are visible to the household; no legal authority, coverage or payment confirmation is inferred.
Available with core home records on all plans. Record, storage and processing allowances apply; household roles determine editing access.
