Share selected project work with a contractor

Give a contractor a reviewed, limited view of work without making them a household member.

How to use it

  1. Open a project and review its planning details: stages, milestones, tasks, approved budget and change orders. Keep actual expenses separate from planned amounts.
  2. Open project sharing. Select the tasks and exact document originals to share; review shared descriptions, provider association, allowed actions and expiry before creating the invitation.
  3. Share the invitation using your normal communication method. The recipient signs in and accepts the scoped invitation; they do not receive household membership or your household encryption key.
  4. In the contractor portal, the recipient can use only the granted tasks, originals and submission/upload actions. An upload or marked task is evidence for review, not automatic homeowner completion approval.
  5. Review comments, completion evidence, estimates and invoices in the project. Approve only after checking the source and scope.
  6. Reduce access or revoke the grant when work ends. If access fails, check identity, expiry, selected originals and the grant rather than adding broad household access.

Available with core home records on all plans. Record, storage and processing allowances apply; household roles determine editing access.
