Troubleshooting

Recover from an unidentified product or camera failure

Allow camera permission on an HTTPS connection. Stop scanning before choosing another camera. If decoding fails, type the code or enter product details manually.

How to use it

  1. Allow camera permission on an HTTPS connection. Stop scanning before choosing another camera. If decoding fails, type the code or enter product details manually.
  2. Some manufacturer QR codes are only websites; some barcodes are internal stock identifiers. A successful decode does not guarantee enrichment. Review encoded fields rather than assuming a model or serial match.
  3. For an expired or already-used phone pairing code, cancel the session on the desktop and generate a fresh one. Reopen the form after switching households.
  4. If recall retrieval fails, keep the existing official notice evidence and retry later or check CPSC.gov directly. Do not interpret provider failure as no recall.

Available with core home records on all plans. Record, storage and processing allowances apply; household roles determine editing access.
