Documents & Expenses
Review your home value, loans and ownership costs
Compare dated valuations and secured-loan balances with existing spending, budgets and replacement estimates.
How to use it
- Open Home Finance for the selected household. Choose the reporting dates and compare the value, debt, equity, spending, budget and replacement summaries.
- Add each property-secured loan using your own statement. Record a dated outstanding principal balance; earlier balance entries remain available. Enter known loan terms and payment frequency only when supported by your records.
- Record a property valuation with its effective date, source or method, optional notes and supporting document. Equity uses dated entered values and balances; review incomplete histories and mismatched dates before relying on the estimate.
- Record payment components separately: regular and additional principal, interest, escrow and financing fees. Link the existing matching cost when it is already recorded. A payment-history entry does not create another expense or prove a new statement balance.
- Review reporting classifications for canonical costs. Operating and financing costs, capital improvements, principal payments and transfers remain distinguishable. Estimates, reserves and escrow transfers stay separate from incurred ownership costs.
- Open annual budgets and replacement reserves to edit saved assumptions, allocations or equipment associations. Existing expenses, maintenance and project costs appear from their canonical records without reentry.
- Review history and source documents. Correct an entered point through the supported review controls. If saving is interrupted, keep the same review and retry it to recover the saved response without creating another financial event. Viewers can read household records but cannot edit them.
Available with core home records on all plans. Record, storage and processing allowances apply; household roles determine editing access.
